This week all student who taking New Media Technology subject required to create one mind map of what is New Media is all about. So here is my mind map that i created by using Adobe Illustrator.

What is New Media?

New Media

Definition of Media

- media refers to various means of communication

- for example : television, radio, newspaper

- in computer world, media is also used as collective noun but refers to different types data of storage options

- for example : hard drive, CD-ROM, USB flash memory, floppy disks, CD-R, DVDs

Definition of New Media

- interactive forms of communication that use the Internet including pod casts, RSS feeds, social network, text messaging, blogs, wiki, virtual world.

- new media requires a computer or mobile device with internet access.

Benifits of New Media

- connect people with information and services

- collaborate with other people

- create new content, services, communities and channels of communication that help to deliver information and services
